Shepard Fairey created the 2008 campaign posters for Illinois Senator Barack H. Obama’s run for the White House.
Fairey used themes from USSR posters that were widely used to express the themes of the nation’s communist party values. Original posters from the period with an unbroken provenance and supporting authentication are quite often very collectible.
