Harold Bradford

Creativity comes from deep within the soul of Harold Bradford.

“Tribute to Servitude” by Harold Bradford

A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Bradford received his MFA From the University of Washington, focusing on both graphics and fine art. His work ranges from illustration to abstract paintings.

Bradford spent time in the American northwest where he developed an interest in African American contributions to the exploration and development of the west. Western iconography is a recurring theme in his work.

He moved to Las Vegas more than 35 years ago to design neon signs for YESCO, most famously the Buffalo Bill’s Casino sign. His desert landscape mural “Tryptych Passages” can be seen in McCarran Airport’s D Gate.

Las Vegas artist Harold Bradford proudly displayed his heritage during a gallery showing at Dixie State University, 02/28/2020.

The life-long artist spoke at the North Plaza Art Gallery in St. George, Utah in honor of Black History Month. As a mentor and teacher of art, Bradford uses multiple colors as an expression of freedom to create a deeper meaning in his paintings.

Bradford is one of the resident artists of the Left of Center Gallery located in the Las Vegas metropolitan area. They have a superb African Art collection, a fine art gallery that features curated shows, and a studio where students and established artists can work.
